Secure Your Network | University of Colorado Boulder February 2023
Secured a network that was facing security issues, such as users being able to access resources they should not have been able to and inbound traffic being allowed that should have been blocked.
Worked with a pfSense firewall, a Kali Linux machine, an Ubuntu host with a web server, and a Debian host meant to mimic a local client.
Installed Suricata to help detect DOS and brute-force attacks, set up ssh for access for remote work due to the covid-19 pandemic, and configured a firewall to prevent employees from accessing unwanted websites.
